Medicine:
 
UCD- To gain entry to Medicine in UCD you need to obtain a minimum of an Ordinary Level D3 in Irish, English, Maths and another language. You must also obtain a minimum of a D3 in at least one Science Subject. To enter UCD’s 5 year medical programme, you require a minimum of a C3 at Higher Level in Chemistry and a minimum of a C3 at Higher Level in two of the other six subjects.

 
Trinity- To gain entry to Medicine in Trinity you need to obtain a minimum of a Higher Level B3 and C3 in any two of the following:
 
 Physics
 Chemistry
 Biology
 Physics/Chemistry
 Ag Science
 
However if you don’t have a qualification in Physics you must have obtained a minimum of a D3 at Higher level Maths or a C3 at Ordinary Level.
 
BEWARE: TCD does not accept Ag science or Biology as two separate subjects.

UCC- To gain entry to Medicine in UCC you need to obtain a minimum of an Higher Level C3 in chemistry and either physics/biology. You must also have passed Irish, English, Maths and another language. 

 
NUIG- To gain entry to Medicine in NUIG you need to completed one of the following laboratory sciences:
 

Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Physics/Chemistry
Ag Science
 
You must also have obtained a minimum of a C3 at Higher Level in two of the other six subjects.
 

RCSI- To enter RCSI’s 6 year medical programme, you required to have complete a science subject from the following:

Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Physics/Chemistry
 
 
To enter RCSI’s 5 year medical programme, you required to have a minimum of a C3 in Higher level Chemistry and either Physics/Biology.
